Anti-DHH antibody [EPR29306-39] - BSA and Azide free (Capture),Abcam,AB324655

ab324655 is a BSA and Azide Free antibody supplied in an unconjugated format and it is suitable for sandwich ELISAs to quantify Mouse DHH. The recommended pair for sandwich ELISA is: Capture: ab324655, Mouse DHH Capture Antibody (unconjugated) Detector: ab324656 , Mouse DHH Detector Antibody (unconjugated) The reference range value is 312.5-20000 pg/mL. Patented technology Our RabMAb ® technology is a patented hybridoma-based technology for making rabbit monoclonal antibodies. For details on our patents, please refer to RabMAb ® patents . What are the advantages of a recombinant monoclonal antibody? This product is a recombinant monoclonal antibody, which offers several advantages including: - High batch-to-batch consistency and reproducibility - Improved sensitivity and specificity - Long-term security of supply - Animal-free batch production For more information, read more on recombinant antibodies . Conjugation ready Our carrier-free antibodies are typically supplied in a PBS-only formulation, purified and free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol. This conjugation-ready format is designed for use with fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, and enzymes, which makes them ideal for antibody labelling, functional and cell-based assays, flow-based assays (e.g. mass cytometry) and Multiplex Imaging applications. Use our conjugation kits for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with 1 minute hands-on-time and 100% antibody recovery: available for fluorescent dyes, HRP, biotin and gold. Sandwich ELISA The recommended antibody orientation is based on internal optimization for ELISA-based assays. Antibody orientation is assay dependent and needs to be optimized for each assay type. Please note that the range provided for this antibody is only an estimation based on the performance of the product using the recommended antibody pair. Performance of the antibody pair will depend on the specific characteristics of your assay. We guarantee the product works in sandwich ELISA, but we do not guarantee the sensitivity or dynamic range of the antibody in your assay.

Scientific Background

Target data Desert hedgehog protein. The C-terminal part of the desert hedgehog protein precursor displays an autoproteolysis and a cholesterol transferase activity (By similarity). Both activities result in the cleavage of the full-length protein into two parts (DhhN and DhhC) followed by the covalent attachment of a cholesterol moiety to the C-terminal of the newly generated DhhN (By similarity). Both activities occur in the reticulum endoplasmic (By similarity). Functions in cell-cell mediated juxtacrine signaling (By similarity). Promotes endothelium integrity (PubMed : 33063110). Binds to PTCH1 receptor, which functions in association with smoothened (SMO), to activate the transcription of target genes in endothelial cells (PubMed : 33063110). In Schwann cells, controls the development of the peripheral nerve sheath and the transition of mesenchymal cells to form the epithelium-like structure of the perineurial tube (PubMed : 10482238).. Desert hedgehog protein N-product. The dually lipidated desert hedgehog protein N-product (DhhNp) is essential for a variety of patterning events during development (By similarity). Binds to the patched (PTCH1) receptor, which functions in association with smoothened (SMO), to activate the transcription of target genes (PubMed : 9811851). Required for normal testis development and spermatogenesis, namely for the formation of adult-type Leydig cells and normal development of peritubular cells and seminiferous tubules (PubMed : 11090455, PubMed : 8805249). Activates primary cilia signaling on neighboring valve interstitial cells through a paracrine mechanism (PubMed : 32151560). May induce motor neurons in lateral neural tube and may have a polarizing activity. Prevents the desert hedgehog protein precursor binding to PTCH1 (By similarity). Binds PTCH2 (PubMed : 9811851).
