Anti-iNOS antibody [EPR16635],Abcam,AB178945
Anti-iNOS antibody [EPR16635] (ab178945) was developed by Abcam using patented rabbit monoclonal antibody technology and is validated for use in I-ELISA, ICC/IF, IP and WB. Anti-iNOS antibody [EPR16635] (ab178945) was first used in a scientific publication in 2014 and has been cited over 275 times in peer reviewed journals. It's performance in Western Blot in human and mouse samples is trusted by the scientific community. Abcam's high quality manufacturing and validation processes ensure Anti-iNOS antibody [EPR16635] (ab178945) has high sensitivity and specificity alongside high lot-to-lot consistency and reproducibility. Anti-iNOS antibody [EPR16635] (ab178945) specifically detects iNOS (UniProt ID: P35228; Molecular weight: 132kDa) and is sold in 100 µL and 1 mL selling sizes. Conjugation-ready, carrier free format available for antibody clone EPR16635 - ab213987 . Antibody clone EPR16635 is also available pre-conjugated to a variety of labels for your convenience - Alexa Fluor ® 647, Alexa Fluor ® 555, Alexa Fluor ® 568 ( ab209027 , ab209594 , ab209595 ). Inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) plays a key role in disease by producing nitric oxide (NO), which can contribute to inflammation and tissue damage in conditions like arthritis, sepsis and cancer. EPR16635 is one of the top cited recombinant antibodies on the market with over 494 citations. Patented technology Our RabMAb ® technology is a patented hybridoma-based technology for making rabbit monoclonal antibodies. For details on our patents, please refer to RabMAb ® patents . Specifications
Scientific Background
Target data Produces nitric oxide (NO) which is a messenger molecule with diverse functions throughout the body (PubMed : 7504305, PubMed : 7531687, PubMed : 7544004, PubMed : 7682706). In macrophages, NO mediates tumoricidal and bactericidal actions. Also has nitrosylase activity and mediates cysteine S-nitrosylation of cytoplasmic target proteins such PTGS2/COX2 (By similarity). As component of the iNOS-S100A8/9 transnitrosylase complex involved in the selective inflammatory stimulus-dependent S-nitrosylation of GAPDH on 'Cys-247' implicated in regulation of the GAIT complex activity and probably multiple targets including ANXA5, EZR, MSN and VIM (PubMed : 25417112). Involved in inflammation, enhances the synthesis of pro-inflammatory mediators such as IL6 and IL8 (PubMed : 19688109). See full target information NOS2
