Scientific Background

Antibody reacts with the tetrameric heme protein catalase from all mammalian sources and likely most aerobic microorganisms. Catalase catalyzes the conversion of hydrogen peroxide to water and oxygen. This antibody is designed to detect the enzyme in most immunochemical methods. The antibody may facilitate the study of oxidative stress release in neuron transplantation.
