It was first used with docetaxel and another HER2-targeting monoclonal antibody trastuzumab to treat metastatic HER2-positive breast cancer. Since then, its indications have been expanded to be used as both neoadjuvant therapy and adjuvant therapy for the treatment of HER2-positive breast cancer with a high risk of recurrence.
