Glutathione S-transferase theta 1 (GSTT1), a cytoplasmic homodimer belonging to the Theta family, is expressed in erythrocytes. It is active in the reduced glutathione conjugation and also displays glutathione peroxidase activity with cumene hydroperoxide.
