Sox2 (pS249) Antibody Brand Logo
ID: BAB064582303

Sox2 (pS249) Antibody, Abbexa, abx032092

This intronless gene encodes a member of the SRY-related HMG-box (SOX) family of transcription factors involved in the regulation of embryonic development and in the determination of cell fate. The product of this gene is required for stem-cell maintenance in the central nervous system, and also regulates gene expression in the stomach. Mutations in this gene have been associated with optic nerve hypoplasia and with syndromic microphthalmia, a severe form of structural eye malformation. This gene lies within an intron of another gene called SOX2 overlapping transcript (SOX2OT).

SEPARIN (pS1126) Antibody Brand Logo

SEPARIN (pS1126) Antibody, Abbexa, abx031912

The metaphase-to-anaphase transition is the final discrete event in duplication and separation of the genetic material of the cell. Its timing is regulated by the activation of the anaphase-promoting complex (APC). In both budding and fission yeast, the degradation of the Pds1 or Cut2 protein, respectively, is required for the onset of sister chromatid separation. Both proteins are APC substrates. Pds1 and Cut2 proteins associate with the yeast separin proteins Esp1 and Cut1, respectively, and prevent the separins from promoting chromatid separation. Pds1 and Cut2 are also called anaphase inhibitors or securins.

PIK3CD (pY485) Antibody Brand Logo
ID: BAB018104623

PIK3CD (pY485) Antibody, Abbexa, abx032009

Phosphoinositide 3-kinases (PI3Ks) phosphorylate the 3-prime OH position of the inositol ring of inositol lipids. See MIM 602838. The class I PI3Ks display a broad phosphoinositide lipid substrate specificity and include p110-alpha, p110-beta, and p110-gamma. p110-alpha and p110-beta interact with SH2/SH3-domain-containing p85 adaptor proteins and with GTP-bound Ras.

EGFR (pY1125) Antibody Brand Logo
ID: BAB253138190

EGFR (pY1125) Antibody, Abbexa, abx031963

EGFR is a transmembrane glycoprotein that is a member of a family of protein tyrosine kinases crucial in maintaining a normal balance in cell growth and development. A prototype member of the type 1 receptor tyrosine kinases, EGFR is encoded by the cellular oncogene cerbB1. EGFR has an extracellular ligand binding domain, a single transmembrane region, and cytoplasmic domain which is composed of a tyrosine kinase domain and a carboxy terminal domain. The carboxy terminal domain contains at least four tyrosine autophosphorylation sites. Increased production or activation of EGFR has been associated with poor prognosis in a variety of tumors. EGFR overexpression is observed in tumors of the head and neck, brain, bladder, stomach, breast, lung, endometrium, cervix, vulva, ovary, esophagus, stomach and in squamous cell carcinoma.

SMAD3 (pS208) Antibody Brand Logo
ID: BAB729265861

SMAD3 (pS208) Antibody, Abbexa, abx031913

SMAD3, a receptor regulated SMAD (R-SMAD) is a transcriptional modulator activated by TGF-beta (transforming growth factor) and activin type 1 receptor kinase. SMAD3 is estimated to account for at least 80% of all TGF-beta-mediated response. Activated type I receptor phosphorylates receptor-activated SMADS (RSMADS) at their c-terminal two extreme serines in the SSXS motif. The phosphorylated R-SMAD translocate into nucleus, where they regulate transcription of target genes. SMAD3 signal transduction appears to be important in the rgulation of muscle-specific genes. Loss of SMAD3 is a feature of pediatric T-cell lymphoblastic leukemia, while upregulation of SMAD3 may be responsible for TGFB hyperresponsiveness observed in scleroderma.

Rb (pS788) Antibody Brand Logo
ID: BAB606302383

Rb (pS788) Antibody, Abbexa, abx031910

RB1 likely acts as a regulator of other genes. It forms a complex with adenovirus E1A and with SV40 large T antigen, acts as a tumor suppressor, and may bind and modulate functionally certain cellular proteins with which T and E1A compete for pocket binding. RB1 is a potent inhibitor of E2F-mediated trans-activation, and also recruits and targets histone methyltransferase SUV39H1 leading to epigenetic transcriptional repression. This protein inhibits the intrinsic kinase activity of TAF1. Defects in RB1 are the cause of childhood cancer retinoblastoma (RB), a congenital malignant tumor that arises from the nuclear layers of the retina. Defects in RB1 are also a cause of bladder cancer and osteogenic sarcoma.

NR4A1 (pS351) Antibody Brand Logo
ID: BAB098712350

NR4A1 (pS351) Antibody, Abbexa, abx031951

NR4A1 is a member of the steroid-thyroid hormone-retinoid receptor superfamily. Expression is induced by phytohemagglutinin in human lymphocytes and by serum stimulation of arrested fibroblasts. The encoded protein acts as a nuclear transcription factor. Translocation of the protein from the nucleus to mitochondria induces apoptosis.
