Apolipoprotein M (APOM) Antibody Brand Logo
ID: BAB616352499

Apolipoprotein M (APOM) Antibody, Abbexa, abx004079

APOM Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal antibody against APOM. The protein encoded by this gene is an apolipoprotein and member of the lipocalin protein family. It is found associated with high density lipoproteins and to a lesser extent with low density lipoproteins and triglyceride-rich lipoproteins. The encoded protein is secreted through the plasma membrane but remains membrane-bound, where it is involved in lipid transport. Alternate splicing results in both coding and non-coding variants of this gene.

Apolipoprotein M (ApoM) Antibody Brand Logo
ID: BAB341229679

Apolipoprotein M (ApoM) Antibody, Abbexa, abx015722

ApoM (apolipoprotein M, also designated G3a or NG20), with 188-amino acid protein (about 21kDa), is an apolipoprotein and member of the lipocalin protein family. The Apo-proteins are involved in the specific binding of cellular receptors, the regulation of lipolytic enzymes, and the process of lipid exchange. The encoded protein is secreted through the plasma membrane but remains membrane-bound, where it is involved in lipid transport. The N-terminal region of Apo-M contains hydrophobic residues that may promote association with the phospholipid layer of lipoprotein particles. In vitro, Apo-M is glycosylated when translated in the presence of microsomes, and remains associated with the microsomes after carbonate treatment.Apo-M is expressed in liver and kidney, and is secreted into the bloodstream in HDLs, and also found in triglyceride-rich lipoproteins and LDLs.

Apolipoprotein A-V (APOA5) Antibody Brand Logo
ID: BAB717216705

Apolipoprotein A-V (APOA5) Antibody, Abbexa, abx010416

Apolipoprotein A5 (ApoA5) is fast gaining attention as a key regulator of serum triglyceride concentrations. An ApoA5 mouse knock-out model produced an approximately four fold increase in serum triglycerides, whereas a knock-in model with human ApoA5 produced 50–70% lower concentrations of mouse serum triglycerides. In addition, peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor- agonists, which are used clinically to lower serum triglyceride concentrations, cause increased ApoA5 mRNA expression. Despite these compelling molecular biology data, relatively little is known about ApoA5 protein in human serum. This antibody pair detected recombinant apoa5 protein in sandwich ELISA format and could be potential reagents for the development of clinical diagnostic kits.
