Anti-Piezo1 Antibody, Alomone Labs, APC-087
Anti-Piezo1 (extracellular) Antibody(#APC-087) is a highly specific antibody directed against an epitope of the rat protein. The antibody can be used in western blot, immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry applications. It has been designed to recognize Piezo1 from rat and mouse samples. The antibody is unlikely to recognize the protein from human samples. Anti-Piezo1 (extracellular) Antibody –(Carrier Free) (#APC-087-CF) is a highly specific antibody directed against an epitope of the rat protein. This ready-to-use, carrier-free formulation is free of BSA and sodium azide, making it ideal for conjugation, sensitive downstream applications and specialized assay development. The size of this version is0.2 mlat a concentration of1 mg/ml. It has been designed to recognize Piezo1 from rat and mouse samples. The antibody is unlikely to recognize the protein from human samples. Carrier Free: Anti-Piezo1 (extracellular) Antibody –(Carrier Free) (#APC-087-CF) is a highly specific antibody directed against an epitope of the rat protein. Purified anti-PIEZO1 Antibody, PIEZO1, W17241A, BioLegend, 602751
When testing this clone for western blot, we observed a considerable loss of signal with lysates that were boiled in sample buffer compared to samples that were heated to 37°C. This is likely due to high temperatures causing aggregation of PIEZO1, which is a multi-pass transmembrane domain protein. This clone was tested for immunocytochemistry on HeLa cells fixed with 4% PFA and permeabilized with either methanol or Triton X-100. Both methods resulted in high non-specific staining.
